Mr.Color Series (C100-C199) (Group)
- Mr. Color lacquer series.
- Mr. Color is the standard model paint that has been around for over 40 years and is highly regarded by modelers worldwide.
- 10ml
Product Features:
- A wide range of colors is available, suitable for painting various model genres, including characters, scales (tanks, planes, ships), and more.
- The pigments and metallic particles used offer excellent color vibrancy, often superior to water-based paints (especially metallic and blue paints).
- As a solvent-based paint, it dries quickly.
- The paint film becomes hard after drying, providing a beautiful glossy finish.
- The resin used has a solid, thick texture, forming an optimal paint film.
- Compared to water-based paints, the paint has a higher viscosity. When using a brush, if the paint is difficult to apply, add Mr. Color Thinner (recommended ratio: paint:thinner = 1:up to 1). Additionally, adding a few drops of Mr. Retarder Mild can slow the drying speed and reduce brush marks.
- For airbrush painting, thin the paint with a ratio of paint 1:thinner up to 2, depending on the paint’s viscosity. When using an airbrush, apply a light coat on the first pass and build up thin layers with the second and third coats.
Adjusting Gloss, Semi-Gloss, and Matte Finishes:
- Mr. Color glossy paints can have their gloss levels adjusted using C30 Flat Base. For a semi-gloss finish, mix about 5-10% Flat Base with the paint.
- For a matte finish, mix 10-20% Flat Base. By adjusting the amount of Flat Base, you can customize the glossiness of the finish.
