Mr. Color Super Metallic Series Renewal (Gloss) (Group)

The Mr. Super Metallic 2 (Renewal) series uses high-quality fine metallic particles to achieve an exceptional metallic finish. Compared to the previous “Super Metallic” series, the ingredients have been further improved, allowing for an even more beautiful metallic effect.

The base ingredients are the same as those used in Mr. Color, so for thinning and cleaning, you can use Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Rapid Thinner, or Mr. Leveling Thinner. For airbrush painting, dilute the paint in a 1:0 or 1:2 ratio with thinner. Depending on the color, the ingredient composition may differ, so the metallic colors with lower viscosity can be used as is.

Fine metallic particles tend to settle at the bottom quickly, so after thinning, it’s important to stir the mixture periodically during airbrush painting to ensure an even finish without streaks.

Note: SM201-205, 207, 209 can be coated with Mr. Super Clear or water-based topcoats (for spray cans). SM206 and SM208 can only be coated with water-based topcoats (slightly cloudy results may occur). For other options, the surface may dull instantly. When using bottled paint, water-based hobby colors and Acrysion gloss can be used for coating.

*NOTES
  • For SM06, be sure to apply Mr. COLOR, Mr. Spray black (gloss) as a base coat color before painting in order to give the surface a metallic touch.
  • In the case of SM06, clear paint cannot be applied over the painted surface. (It dulls the color which lessens the effect.)
  • Metallic particles tend to settle easily, so stir well when thinning or even during painting.
  • Needle airbrushes tend to clog easily with metallic particles, so do not attempt an extremely fine spray.
  • Use an airbrush with a bore diameter of over 0.3mm.
