Mr.Color Acrysion Series 1-100 (Group)
- After drying, it becomes water-resistant and forms a solvent-resistant coating.
- This model paint minimizes the use of organic solvents, resulting in an ultra-low-odor model paint.
- Although it is a water-based paint, it dries quickly and is highly workable.
- It also includes glossy paints, which were previously difficult to achieve with water-based emulsion paints.
- The coating has a certain degree of conformability after drying.
- Because it contains low solvents, it is less likely to corrode thin molded ABS parts, which are easily damaged by
solvents. - Unlike solvent-based paints, which dissolve and adhere to plastic resins, this paint adheres to the surface through its own adhesive properties. It can be applied to solvent-resistant materials such as urethane resin without a primer. It can also be applied to polycarbonate. However, adhesion is improved with surface preparation, including a primer.
<About dilution>
- For brush application, you can use it as is without diluting it. If it is difficult to apply, add 1-2 drops of water or Acrysion Retarder (recommended). Please note that if you dilute it too much, the pigment will run easily and uneven color will occur on the painted surface.
- For use with an airbrush, please use Acrysion Airbrush Thinner Modified (dilution ratio: approximately 1:0.3). When diluting with water, we recommend diluting it little by little and applying with as little air pressure as possible. Please note that adding too much water will cause the paint to be repelled by the surface.
After painting, tools such as brushes and airbrushes can be washed with water before the paint dries. Since it is insoluble in water after drying, please clean it with Acrysion's dedicated tool cleaner.
* The clear and Acrysion paints have a milky white top layer, but will become transparent once they dry.
* It can be applied over Mr. Color and enamel paints. It cannot be used over old-label water-based hobby colors or other companies' water-based acrylic paints, as it will cause cracking.
* It cannot be mixed with water-based hobby colors or Mr. Color.
* Once hardened and solidified, Acrysion will not redissolve. Furthermore, if the paint or thinner becomes acidic due to high room temperature, the paint will solidify.
