This thinner contains alcohol for faster drying, though the Aqueous Hobby Color may be diluted with tap water. It also improves adhesion to the paint surface, and it can be used to wash air brushes and brushes too. For airbrush painting, dilute the paint with a maximum ratio of 1 part thinner to 1 part paint (1:1). This makes it easier to apply as it dries faster than when diluted with water and reduces the repelling effect caused by water.

Note:
This product cannot be used to restore the viscosity of any product that has become too high or completely hardened in the bottle.
